The competitive examination
The competitive examination is the main procedure for admission to the doctoral school to prepare a thesis.
Each year, in the spring, the doctoral school organizes a competitive examination to recruit students. It ends in late June or early July, with interviews and a ranking of the selected applicants. Accepted students enroll in the doctoral program in the autumn.
The thesis subjects are published in the first quarter of the year of the competitive exam. Interested applicants may:
- identify one or several subjects and contact the people and teams that are offering these subjects;
- choose and rank in order of preference a maximum of three subjects chosen among the thesis subject offered.
