International co-supervision allows the doctoral candidate to benefit from the expertise of two thesis supervisors and promotes scientific collaboration between French and foreign research teams.

The doctoral candidate is registered in a single institution but has two thesis supervisors: one from the University of Bordeaux and one from a foreign university. They share the responsibility of supervising the doctoral candidate's scientific research.

This program offers doctoral candidates with many advantages in scientific and social terms (double supervision, opportunities for international mobility, access to the infrastructure of both institutions, expansion of the professional network, etc.).
